And so did we. Our trip was fabulous, but the transition from trip to home is a little rough. Mom and the kitties are happy to see us, unfortunately, Ocho needs to demonstrate throughout the night. This does not help.
We’ve unpacked the car and are working away at cleaning and storing the the gear. The tent is clean, dry and packed.
The back half of the yard is one giant weed patch, and the hot humid weather is not assisting with the needed motivation to tackle the weeds. I did find 2 ripe tomatoes amidst the mess.
Mom dug the shallots and most of the garlic, which is drying in the laundry room. I saw lettuce starts at the farmers market and got a tiny bit excited about planting some, so there is hope.
Lobster tonight might help with the transition, but I keep recalling the beautiful weather in Oregon. Sigh.

It’s difficult to get much done in the humidity. Glad you are back!

It has been really hot here. The northwest has had much nicer weather for us people. I think the summer veggies have loved the heat though. Welcome back.

Welcome home Allie and Dan, glad to hear your trip was a success. It is my personal opinion that a piece of Blueberry pie, with french vanilla ice cream, would make settling in a bit easier! Enjoy these next few weeks of summer, it’s going fast! Greetings, Julie.

Welcome home. Yes, the weeds have done well this summer but so have the veggies. A lobster feast should help with the transition.

The weather here is back in the 70′s. Much better then that 90 stuff we had for a week or so. It must be nice to be back home and in the routine of things again. Have you got your next big vacation planned yet? :)
